Reduce heat to low.
Start on your sauce by adding your orange juice to a mixing bowl, then add your orange zest, rice vinegar, corn starch, chili paste, soy sauce, ginger, MSG, brown sugar, and chopped garlic. Mix well.
When your sauce is ready, pour it into the skillet with your chicken. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once your sauce thickens, portion it out into your meal containers.
Cook your rice according to the instructions on the package and divide into your meal containers.
Last, cut and cook your broccoli however you prefer. You can microwave, steam, boil, or roast in the oven. When done, season with salt and pepper and divide among your meal containers.
Enjoy!
Notes
• You can adjust the amount of chili paste depending on your preferred level of spice.• The white rice can be substituted for your choice of other types of rice such as jasmine, brown, basmati, or cauliflower rice.• The side of broccoli can be any choice of your favorite non-starchy vegetable.• For even distribution of meals among meal containers, you can either estimate the portions, or weigh the entire batch, and divide that number by your number of meal containers. This recipe makes six meals, so it would be the total weight, divided by six. That will be your portion size per meal.• If storing for meal prep, place into freezer safe meal containers, and place in the freezer for freshness. Take the meal out of the freezer and place it in the refrigerator the night before to let the meal thaw out.
